THERMOS LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN TO EDUCATE ON BENEFITS OF HYDRATION
Hydration For All gives consumers the opportunity to help bring clean water to developing nations.
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. (November 10, 2008) — In the wake of recent concerns over the presence of Bisphenol A (BPA) in plastic bottles, as well as the nation's growing interest in health and wellness, one leading beverage bottle maker is taking its dedication to family wellness to a new level of involvement. Thermos is announcing the official launch of Hydration For All, a campaign focused on educating families on the importance of hydration, as well as spreading awareness about the global water crisis through a partnership with the non-profit organization charity: water. The campaign is being launched in conjunction with the introduction of the Intak™ by Thermos® beverage bottle line, Thermos' newest BPA-free offering.

Elements of the campaign include HydrationForAll.com, a Web site featuring tips on keeping the entire family healthy and well hydrated. The site includes the Refreshing Perspectives blog, a resource where families can learn more about hydration and share their own thoughts, as well as information on Thermos' line of BPA-free beverage bottles for all ages. For adult consumers, the new Intak line is perfect for staying hydrated on the go. Made of BPA-free Eastman Tritan™ plastic, the bottles feature a unique rotating intake meter and a flip-up loop for hands-free carrying. Rounding out the hydration solutions for the entire family, the site features Foogo® sippy cups for infants and FUNtainer™ beverage bottles for toddlers and children, all of which are made of BPA-free materials like stainless steel.

"We created HydrationForAll.com as a one-stop resource for anyone interested in learning about the importance of staying hydrated – and finding safe, convenient ways to do so," said Rick Dias, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Thermos. "It's a natural extension of the role we play in the lives of so many families, and we're proud to further our involvement when it comes to their continued health and well being."

Thermos' efforts to spread hydration awareness extend beyond U.S. borders through the company's partnership with charity: water, a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. As part of the Hydration For All campaign, Thermos has partnered with charity: water to increase awareness of the water crisis and raise funds for freshwater wells and sustainable water solutions in Africa. To celebrate the launch of the long-term partnership, Thermos is encouraging public involvement this fall by making a donation to charity: water when consumers donate to the charity through HydrationForAll.com. This collaborative effort will raise funds to build wells in two African communities, one in Liberia and one in Ethiopia, in need of clean drinking water.

The first 1000 visitors to donate to charity: water through HydrationForAll.com will also receive the opportunity to have their names included on one of two well plaques featured in the African communities. Virtual plaques will also be visible on charity: water's Google Earth platform. To keep visitors informed on charity: water and Thermos' ongoing efforts, the Refreshing Perspectives blog will feature regular posts on global water issues.

"charity: water is excited to partner with Thermos to bring greater awareness to the global need for clean drinking water, and work together to continue transforming communities in need through sustainable clean water solutions" said Scott Harrison, charity: water founder.

Sans BPA Pourquoi Ça Compte

Bisphenol A
