ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. (August 27, 2009) - Over the past week there has been a lot of conversation around aluminum bottles and their liners leaching BPA into their contents. Some manufacturers have recently admitted that their products did in fact contain BPA in the lining of their bottles. We want to assure you of the high level of quality and standards that Thermos holds itself to.
Thermos does not manufacture any aluminum products. Thermos® vacuum-insulated stainless steel products are 100% BPA-free and do not use any interior coatings. Stainless steel is non-reactive, stain-resistant, corrosion-resistant and taste free. When developing our single-wall Intak® by Thermos® hydration bottles, we chose not to use aluminum materials, instead choosing Eastman Tritan™ copolymer. Tritan is a non-reactive and non-leaching BPA-free material.
As the leading manufacturer of convenient insulated products for over 100 years, Thermos is trusted by consumers to provide innovative beverage bottles and food containers that promote a safe and healthy lifestyle. Non-toxic stainless steel beverage bottles are a BPA-free alternative for consumers looking to avoid aluminum products, and Thermos offers portable options appropriate for every age.
