(October 2, 2009) – Thermos L.L.C., has taken its commitment to providing convenient drinkware options to the next level with the launch of Thermos® Foogo® Phases™, a new line of sippy cups and straw bottles for infants and toddlers that allows parents to easily customize the drink cups to their child’s changing developmental needs. Offering BPA-free drink cups in double wall vacuum-insulated stainless steel and Eastman Tritan™ plastic, Thermos Foogo Phases features an interchangeable lid and body system providing up to 24 possible drinkware combinations.

The stainless steel and Tritan plastic drink cup bodies in the Foogo Phases line feature three interchangeable lid types: a soft sippy spout, hard sippy spout and the popular push-button straw. The 7 oz. stainless steel and 8 oz. Tritan plastic drink cups feature removable handles and the 10 oz. stainless steel and 11 oz. Tritan plastic drink cups can also accommodate the handles offered with the smaller drink cups.

In fact, a comparative study of children’s food and beverage containers by Cornell University highlighted the efficacy of the Foogo insulated stainless steel drinkware. Of the products in the study starting with liquid at 40?F, only Foogo insulated stainless steel drinkware had the ability to keep milk and other beverages lower than room temperature (70?) for 16 hours - more than four and a half times longer than the leading competitor brands. When tested, milk samples in competitor brand products contained up to 5,000 times more bacteria than milk in Foogo insulated stainless steel drinkware products.
